Over the years, Randal Monceaux always kept his screws and parts in portable storage containers, and when it came time to use them, he would have to look in various places for the items he needed. So he created these versatile portable storage bins.
“In this first photo are bins for the parts that I use for fabricating and gluing up my picture frame projects, and this keeps all of the parts and screws needed in one location on my work table—I have mounted on the sides the glue-up jigs that I use, and the whole unit is on small casters to allow it to be moved on top of my work table,” Randal says.
“The second, third and fourth photos are for the parts that I use for fabricating and gluing up other various items on my work table. On the front side is the yellow removable storage bins that store all of the screws that are used. On the back side, I added some shelves to store various small screws and parts that I use most of the time when assembling a project. On both sides, I installed dowel rods to have the various jigs that are used to secure wood together while installing the screws. Then on the right front side, I drilled holes in the wood to store the various screw bits that are used. I also placed it on small casters to allow it to be moved on top of my work table.”
“I also built this small parts storage bin holder for the small special parts that I use for fabricating and gluing up various items on my work table. I used some small storage containers that I purchased from the local Dollar Store and made a frame with 1/4-in. plywood shelves to support the small containers and also place it on small casters to allow it to be moved on top of my work table.” — Randall
