Naomi Campbell’s Former House
This house, owned by Vladislav Doronin, is called the Capital Hill Residence in Russia. Doronin used to date Naomi Campbell and it the house was recently completed. Zaha Hadid built it and it’s estimated to have cost $140 million.
Martha Stewart’s first house gets a bad rap because of the mural on the walls in this picture and because of the price. It’s a nine-bedroom, three-bath estate house with outbuildings. In 2012, a documentary titled The Queen of Versailles came out where it showcased David and Jackie Siegel as they built a 90,000-square foot home in Florida during the time of the housing crisis. Construction halted later and the house still has not been completed. The home has 32 bathrooms, 14 bedrooms, several indoor and outdoor pools. It’s a far cry from one of these tiny homes built from recycled material.
Penn Jillette’s The Slammer
Penn Jillette’s former home in Las Vegas caught some derision because of its piecemeal construction and loud colors but the story behind it reveals a fascinating history. Jillette bought the property decades ago when just an A frame house sat on the lot. Through the years he added on in the hope that he’d never leave the place. But as things changed for him and his family, he eventually sold it for $1.8 million in 2016. Jillette tried to demolish the house with a tank but sold the 8.6-acre property to a home builder. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson recently sold this mansion and another property that sat next to it for the tune of $17.5 million last year. The home pictured is the large of the two and was built in the 1950s and features seven bedrooms, though it seems to border on a McMansion with a half-turret looking feature above the front door. If you thought the McMansion was bad, you’re really going to hate the McModern.

earlier this year for a mere $28 million, and yes, there are rooms that have “Shaq” names, like the Shaq Center for fitness and the Shaq-apulco for swimming. The rapper 50 Cent put . The 50,000-square-foot home has a bit of a history of being owned by people with financial troubles. The 52-room mansion was built in 1985 and the Hartford Courant described the home at that time as a monstrosity. When it was built it was five times larger than the second-largest home in the town.
